Dear Children,
It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce the Child Rights Monitoring Committee, which will look after your interests, your problems and act as your voice for child rights in Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA).
Turkey is signatory to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This convention initiated more comprehensive and advanced steps in Turkey in terms of child rights.
The Child Rights Monitoring Committee has been established for the purposes of;
- Monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Turkey
- Increasing sensitivity regarding child rights in public opinion and in the TGNA
- Creating a platform for information about child rights through our web portal
- Enabling the personal participation of children into the democratic legislation process on child rights
- Being your voice in TGNA
The efforts of our committee will strengthen with your involvement.

25th of May announced as International Missing Children’s Day by Australia, Canada, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Holland and England which are the members of the Global Missing Children's Network.
The main purpose of IMCD is to encourage everyone to remember all the children missing around the world.
This year the Inquiry Commission for Missing Children of TGNA promoted IMCD in Turkey fort he first time by hosting an event in Turkish Parliament with the participation of the missing children’s familes and parliamentarians.
